Mr DIY, Malaysia’s largest hardware retail chain, introduced its newest mascot, PANDAi, as part of the “PANDAi Jaga Anda” campaign. The goal of this campaign was to establish PANDAi as a lovable, reliable mascot that embodies the brand’s extensive product offerings and customer-centric approach. To amplify its message, Mr DIY collaborated with 3D Advertisers to create an impactful 3D Billboard that brought PANDAi to life in a memorable and engaging way.
The objective of the campaign was to introduce PANDAi as a symbol of Mr DIY’s reliability and versatility. The billboard highlighted the message that PANDAi will always be there to help, no matter the challenge, reflecting Mr DIY’s commitment to offering solutions for every need.
By combining whimsical animation with an innovative 3D naked-eye effect, the campaign aimed to leave a lasting impression on audiences and strengthen PANDAi’s association with the brand.
The creative concept of the “PANDAi Jaga Anda” 3D Billboard campaign was to bring PANDAi, Mr DIY’s new mascot, to life in a way that was both visually captivating and emotionally engaging. We designed two distinct environments, a messy room, showcasing everyday chaos many people can relate to and a clean, organized room, highlighting how Mr DIY’s products can make life easier.
The room was filled with typical household items, like clothes, tools, and furniture, to reflect the variety of products Mr DIY offers.
PANDAi’s movements were carefully animated to be playful and expressive, from yawning and stretching to sneezing and tumbling. The animations emphasized PANDAi’s personality while aligning with the campaign’s message of dependability and care.
The “PANDAi Jaga Anda” 3D Billboard Campaign successfully introduced PANDAi as Mr DIY’s dependable mascot. The fun and visually captivating billboard reinforced the message that Mr DIY is always there to help, making a strong impression on audiences.
This project demonstrated how storytelling and 3D technology can come together to create an impactful brand experience.
